Let's Not Skirt Around the Issue The general population of my workplace is soooo predictable. The weatherman says "stinking hot day" and all the women wear skirts. What is the correlation between skirts and hot days? Is it because we all like (to quote a wizard in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) "A nice healthy breeze around our privates"? Because of the forewarned 42C/110F day today I haven't even ventured outside, just stayed in the air-conditioned comfort of the office. I wore a skirt though, didn't want to be left out. Okay so maybe the real reason I wore a skirt was because I haven't done any washing and all my work slacks were in the wash. Guilty. That being said I will have to walk home from the station today so perhaps the skirt was a good idea after all. You'd be right in thinking this lacked pizazz! Tyd 30 November 2004 - 5:26 pm |
