Let's face it, where would you all be without my groan-worthy headlines?

The bloke came in, sprayed stuff all over the place and when I described to him the bugs that were in the kitchen (I sprayed them in a drawer and then shut it, they were still alive 20 minutes later!) he replied with "Yep, German cockroaches - you have to whack them over the head, those ones" so I translated that into German and it came out as "Sqvish mit einen Thumb" which is what we'd been doing since they turned up a month or so ago.

But he put some gel on the cupboard and apparently they eat it and then cark it.

So far, it seems to have multipled them! We turn on the light in the kitchen and there are dozens running all over the table (before you get grossed out, they are around the size of a flea, so not huge things running about) so we play a rough game of Squish-The-German-Bug with our thumbs. It really is quite satisfying.

But very messy.

It's been a week now and I think the gel might be working. Only two squishes tonight.
