God Bless City Rail. No, Seriously Train crisis. It screams from every newspaper in NSW. Drivers are refusing to work overtime, commuters left stranded. Regular services cancelled, expect long delays. All this is sort of expected though. I mean, public transport everyone always complains about it and we�re not really surprised if something is running late or there is a gas leak or something. We�re sort of the same with politicians. Well I�ll tell you what I didn�t expect, a free week of travel. And guess what I got? Yes, a free week of travel. Can I get a hurrah? HURRAH! Due to the crisis (I love that word) people holding weekly (or monthly, quarterly, yearly etc) passes get refunded for a full week. So that means next week I ride free. I just hand my ticket in to the bloke at the window on Monday and get a new, fresh one in exchange. Who said nothing in life is free? :o) Tyd 11 February 2004 - 3:06 pm |
