Yesterday I went to an �Admin Assistants Conference� which was basically a big course run by an American company. It was brilliant. The women running it were so funny and entertaining that I hardly knew I was learning. One of them was almost like a stand up comedian. They thought us communication, confidence, organising, etc. All those really important things to do with your job that maybe you�d forgotten it amongst all the bitterness hehe. I enjoyed myself immensely and at the end of the day it was all capped off by the hotel desk dude giving me free parking. Yay! Must have used some of those new negotiating skills without realising.

I started implementing some of the changes today and I don�t know if I�m imagining it, but I can feel more respect coming from people. I�m not snapping at anyone, I�m calming looking at situations, I totally nailed an interaction with one of the top blokes at the company without saying anything stupid or tripping over and just generally it�s been a great day.

It�s funny really because after doing this course I�m going to be like Super Secretary, everyone will appreciate it and be all impressed...and then I�m going to resign at the end of the month. Can�t imagine why but I get a little warm feeling in my stomach just thinking about it.

I never got to show them how much their screwing around with which position I was going to be in, effected me. Put simply, it�s a non-verbal, non-violent way of getting revenge that won't burn any bridges.
