Casual Weddings Rock

Katze and Metros wedding on Saturday was exactly what I thought it would be casual, loving and sweet.

I did a stupid thing and forgot to bring tissues at least the mascara seemed to hold up!

It was definitely a different type of wedding. All the weddings Ive been to have been traditional, in a church, big white dress, big reception, you never get to actually talk to the bride and groom, a bad DJ, someone gets really drunk and embarrasses themselves and someone throws up under a table.

Their wedding had none of that. It was in a park (thank goodness it didnt rain, although the icy wind was brisk), the ceremony was short, there was no white meringue dress, the reception was on a verandah/patio at the back of a restaurant, the bride and groom talked to everyone, there was no throwing up and the groom made the cake and the chocolate-covered strawberries that were little brides and grooms. Too cute!

It was just like one big party really and everyone had a great time, Im beginning to think thats the way wedding receptions should be. Of course you couldnt really pull that off with a huge amount of people, I suppose it was good that they only had about 20 people.

So thats two weddings ticked off this year so far, one more to go.
