About two years ago my Mum told us that her and my Dad would be going to the UK to do an ancestry tour and see lots of other things. Now I thought it would be nice to see Mum going around all the places that her relatives grew up in. But I couldn't afford to go with her.

But The Sexy said, "Sure we can honey, but let's not tell her and surprise her instead!". So for about 18 months we had to keep our mouths shut and be very careful in normal conversation. We had a few stuff ups but she didn't notice.

We surprised her in London while she was at dinner with three of my old school friends and a friend of my sister. Her mouth nearly hit the ground. It was a wonderful moment!

So we are back from our trip (spent a week in London, spent a week and a bit with Mum and Dad in Scotland and a week in Ireland). It was a lot of fun and we met lots of fabulous people and saw lots of gorgeous scenery.

Now it's back to reality and to all the wedding plans. Phew! It was hard to get motivated, but now that the time is dwindling it's incredible how time pressure can turn you into an organisation fiend!
