I just got told off by the receptionist with a BO issue not to tell people that someone isn�t here today because they were sick.

I thought that was a fair explanation to the bloke who turned up for a meeting with him.

She deemed it unprofessional to say that he was sick. Is it not considered more unprofessional to say that he was unavailable for a meeting that was planned and hence didn't bother to call to cancel or reschedule? Makes him look bad.

I had to hold back the laughter though when someone else came in to attend to the fellow and the first words out of his mouth were �Sorry mate, he�s not here today � he�s sick�

That�ll teach you, stinky lady :oP
