Dr Dolittle 4: The Sequel to the Sequel's Sequel When I went home last night and told Mum about how I�d made a list of all the animals that freuquent our place she mentioned a few that I�d forgotten. How could I forget old Clawdius? A few years ago on Mother�s Day Mum was woken up by crowing outside her bedroom window. There was a bantam rooster in our front yard and he seemed to want to stay with us. Dad in his typical punning fashion named the rooster Clawdius because the poor dear was missing all the claws on one foot. He stayed with us for quite a few months until he became violent and we had to take him to the RSPCA. Then there was the blue tongue lizard that lived under the path by the front door. The tree roots had made the concrete path rise a little and he was living in the crevice under there. He�d come out on weekends and we�d sit there amused by his tongue flickers. We also had a frog in our pond (pool, but I like to call it pond), a rabbit in our compost heap, some noisy miners (birds) roosting in our gum tree and a few lorikeets that like to screech through our yard and raise hell with the dog. I just realised that I refer to all fauna as males. Must be cause the two dogs we�ve had/have and the cat have all been males, which of course puts me all out of whack cause the mice are girls. I want a turtle and two miniature donkeys. It�s a recent obsession but if I ever win Lotto you can bet the first thing I do is buy a cottage in the country and two miniature donkeys and possibly call them Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee.
