An Expensive Habit I crave it. I need it. It really wakes me up, keeps me going. But it�s a habit that is costly me dearly. Prices are going up, supplies are scarce. I talk of course, of the ongoing banana crisis since the hurricane up in QLD months ago. $14/kg for overripe or underipe bananas is ridiculous. And yet, I submit to their taunting yellow flesh. Damn them! I thought that my finances would increase once the play was over (and I stopped paying $29 a week on parking) but this banana extortion has crippled me. Well now I�ve got all my group certificates and I can go and get my tax done at the accountants, I suppose that means I can look forward to using my tax refund to keep me supplied with bananas...for a week.
