Lack of Sleep + CD ROM = Much hilarity and frustration My parents leave for Greece and Turkey today. They have both been running around trying to get everything organised on time and make sure they don't forget anything. Dad bought a digital camera yesterday which can store up to 600 shots on it. When he opened up the packet it had a CD ROM for an instruction booklet. I was just sitting in the bean bag watching The Panel and Dad goes off to the den to whack it in the computer and find out all he needs to know about this camera. About half a minute later I hear 'Marn, I think I did, um something wrong. Could you come here a sec'. He put the CD ROM in the floppy disk drive. My father isn't normally a computer illiterate - but last night he turned into one. He has no idea what possessed him to put it in the floppy disk drive (the big floppy disk drive - yes our computer is ancient). He was annoyed of course cause there was work strees, holiday stress and I'm an idiot stress to contend with. I started to dismantle the casing and try and get it out but gave up about 15 minutes later. He said he'd figure out how to operate the camera by just fiddling around with it. Hehe.
