Must Have Missed The Memo Todays entry was going to be a fun-filled frivolous piece about my weekend. The too-much drinking on Friday night with workmates, the Scottish bloke I kissed on Saturday night, the too-much drinking to celebrate Dads birthday on Sunday and all the ridiculous and rude jokes we told. But no. Todays entry is going to be filled with pissed-off-edness. And I have discovered, to my chagrin, that shopping will not fix it either. Remember the plans for my Scandinavian trip that went wrong for so long and then everything went right and birds chirped and the sun shone again? Consider all the birds dead and the world plunged into doom and darkness like that episode of Angel that I havent seen yet. The bastard tour company decided that when they screwed me around the first time they enjoyed it so much that theyd cancel the other tour Id book in place of the first one they had cancelled. God forbid that my schedule should interfere with theirs. Arseholes. So Im up poop-creek without a paddle that would be made from a refund of the airfares. Add this to the fact that I havent heard back about the audition so Im certain I didnt get it. I want to yell at them too and be all sarcastic and in their faces. I dont want to know that Im hopeless at acting and too fat for them. I want to have a nice day, a day that doesnt have me wanting to punch a sales assistant when she says to the lady in the cubicle next to me Oh no, sorry we dont have that in a size 6, just the big sizes 8s are left Sometimes I dont pay attention when I walk into a store. Surely I must have been in a shop that sold clothes for saplings or something. Apparently the World forgot to forward me the memo that I suck. So in conclusion shopping right now sucks, casting people suck, and tour companies suck. I think that covers it Tyd 11 March 2003 - 3:35 pm |
