Free Food, A Daggy Jingle and Stampers� Wrist One of our receptionists/event coordinator is taking up a different position in the marketing department so all the catering and meeting organisation things fall into the hands of the secretaries and PAs. She had a presentation for us yesterday to explain how things worked. It was pretty much compulsory to attend and the mention of a free lunch got everyone quite positive about the whole thing. So the catering bloke did a presentation and I felt like I was at a Weight Watchers meeting and they were giving us the final test. The one where they show you a PowerPoint presentation with all sorts of mouth watering foods and a dinky song comes on repeating the words hungry and food over and over and you�re supposed to resist it all. The song really was quite funny to hear, daggy jingle thought up by some second rate advertising company. Today I did a HUGE mailout helped out by Ellie (our temp for the next two weeks) and only managed to get one paper cut. I consider this some sort of miracle. I think my stamping hand and wrist will be very sore tomorrow though because we had to stamp all the envelopes with return address and Postage Paid Australia stamps. The fun I could have with a Postage Paid stamp *thinks dreamily of free correspondence for a lifetime. Then remembers she no longer writes letters and it�s all email.
